ANDREW PRUDAMES
Saxophone

Andrew (Pru) grew up in York and was schooled in Soul music from a very young age, taking inspiration from a range of Jazz, Soul, Rock and Pop influences including King Curtis, David Sanborn, Tower of Power and Snake Davis
He has played music from the age of 11, playing Baritone in a marching band (with a young Paul Walton!) and Alto and Tenor sax in a number of youth big bands and ensembles as a featured soloist

He joined his first Soul band at University in Leeds with the Papa Nappy Soul Revue before moving to London, where he spent ten years honing his craft in the South London Jazz Orchestra and rocking dance floors across London and the South East with party band Baregroove
Since starting a family and moving back to his native York, he’s been a member of the Anchormen Jazz Orchestra playing at Jazz festivals across the country but it has all been leading up to this point when the opportunity arose to play with the MIGHTY Goosehorns
